TRIVIA
1 - Many people mistakenly beleave that towards the end of the film Margo hides in a vat of acid to escape the beast, but it is explained earlier that the fat is used for boiling the skin off of the animal carcusses the museum wants to examine and that the vat contains only water which when the machine turns on boils, So infact Mago hides in a vat of cold water which should not do her much damage

2 - Another mistake people make is that they beleave Margo analyses an entire strand of DNA in second, this is not true as once again it is explained earlier that she is simply entering a small blood sample from a creature or person and maching it against the files already loaded onto the computer, what comes back is the matches made to the blood smaple not what the blood sample is.

3 - Director Peter Hyams placed his own trademark on the film by calling one of the characters featured Spota, which is his wive's maiden name.

4 - The names for the Tribe and the Beast where switched from the book version to the film version
ie: in the book the it is the Kothoga Tribe and the Mbuwn Beast but in the film the Beasts is known as the Kothoga, as the producers thought that this sounded more scary, thought it is never said on screen it must go to reason that the tribe are the Mbuwn.
